Reception Visit to Imagine That
Our Reception class visited Imagine That today. They had a brilliant time using their imagination in imagination village, creating art making magnets and bags. They also made snow and slime! The children really enjoyed the dry ice experiments and loved the science room where we got to explore and learn. It was a wonderful trip where lots of memories were made. The staff commented on the children's behaviour and how amazing they all were, what superstars! Rocksteady Rock Bands
Our new Rocksteady bands started their lessons again and it was wonderful to see how much their confidence has grown since starting with Rocksteady! It was also great to see a few new rock band members after being inspired by the other rock stars at their rock concert in December. There are still places available if you would like your child to be part of a rock band. https://www.rocksteadymusicschool.com/parents/
Year 4 English - Identifying and Discussing Dilemmas
In our English lesson today we looked at identifying and discussing dilemmas. A dilemma is a situation in which a difficult choice has to be made. We watched a clip called ‘French Roast’ where a homeless man asks a rich businessman for help. He declines but then needs a favour back when he is robbed of his wallet by a thief. The children then worked on two poems - I did a bad thing once written by Allan Ahlberg and Please Mrs Butler . Both have hidden dilemmas which the children identified. Finally we developed our voice 21 skills by rehearsing our performance poetry.

Today, Year 5 enjoyed their final dance session, showcasing creativity and energy as they flipped on bounce mats, perfected their movements, and crafted dynamic routines. The children explored a variety of sequences, combining skills they’ve developed throughout the term, including balance and coordination. They worked well to create engaging performances, demonstrating teamwork and enthusiasm. It was a fantastic way to wrap up their dance unit.
