Year 5 - Anti-Bullying Week
Year 5 embraced Anti-Bullying Week with Odd Socks Day, proudly wearing mismatched socks to celebrate individuality and this year’s powerful theme of respect. In their PSHE lessons, they reflected deeply on what bullying means, sharing personal insights on how to respond and support others in challenging situations. They discussed the importance of kindness, respect, and inclusivity, learning how even small actions can make a big difference in creating a safe and supportive school environment for everyone.
Year 4 PSHE - How do we treat each other with respect?
In our PSHE sessions we are focusing on ‘Valuing Difference’. This week we shared different scenarios about how we would deal with aggressive behaviour. The children learned how to recognise potential consequences of aggressive behaviour and suggested how to deal with someone who is displaying this. They showed super communication skillls and discussed conflict resolution and diversity.
Year 3 - PSHE-Odd Socks Day for Anti-Bullying Week
Today, our school celebrated our unique differences by wearing odd socks to launch anti-bullying week! Year 3 joined the live assembly in class, where we learned about the importance of kindness, respect, and a future without bullying. The assembly shared inspiring messages, guest speakers, and interactive activities where children had to discuss scenarios and develop solutions in pairs. This follows from our school worship led by Mrs. Ham, where we explored similar themes.
Reception Celebrate anti-bullying week
Today the children came to school wearing odd socks to celebrate anti-bullying week. During our PSHE lesson we discussed how we can show respect and be a good friend to each other. Year 6 Golden Time
After showing so much respect and gratitude at the Remembrance Service, Year 6 were rewarded with an early golden time on the new play area in Whitehall Park. It was wonderful to see them all having fun and getting along with each through comprising and waiting patiently. They also took risks and pushed themselves out of their comfort zone and it was great to hear them encouraging each other. Well done Year 6!

Year 3- PSHE-Expressing opinions and listening to those of others;
This afternoon in PSHE, the children discussed several statements and placed themselves on a line to show their agreement or disagreement. We talked about topics like healthy eating, screen time, physical activity, and sugary drinks. After sharing their positions, the children explained why they chose those spots. It was a great opportunity to listen to different viewpoints and understand each other's thoughts.
Year 3- Class Worship- Hopes and Dreams
Today in our class worship, we learned about the incredible achievements of Adriana Brownlee, the youngest woman to climb all 14 of the world's 8,000-meter peaks. We then reflected on our hopes and dreams, both individually and as a class. We discussed the Bible's message of God's love, strength, and guidance, and how these principles can help us to pursue our aspirations. Lyla then read the prayer to the class: Thank God for always being there as we journey through life and giving us hope for the future as we learn and grow. Amen
WOW Year Group Winners for October
A huge WELL DONE to Year 4 who gained the most walk to school badges for the month of October! It was great to see so many more children gaining their badges this month now we can take part in school through choosing to do the 1K A Day too. Thank you to parents and carers too for all of your support with this super initiative.
Reception: Bonfire and Firework Safety
This week the children in Reception have been learning all about Bonfire night. They learnt how Guy Fawkes planned to kill the king using gunpowder. His plan failed and we now celebrate Bonfire night to remember. The children have learnt how to keep safe around bonfires and fireworks. We then created bonfires using playdough and fireworks using pens, pegboards, sand and paint.
Reception: Muddy Monday
Today for Reception’s Muddy Monday session, the children walked to Jacks Key. To celebrate bonfire night, the children collected twigs, sticks and leaves to create their own bonfires. The children had to work together as a team and did a brilliant job.
Reception: Developing our Gross Motor Skills
Today our Reception children challenged themselves to climb trees. They used their muscles in their tummies, arms and legs to help them to safely climb the trees. Some of the children swang on the branches and balanced too. Well done for being so brave!
