This morning, we came together for our Friday Celebration Worship to reflect on a busy, fantastic first week of Autumn Term 2 and to celebrate those children who have been 'achieving great things' out of school.

A special thank you to our Year 6 pupils, who opened our worship with a beautiful rendition of ‘We Will Remember’ ahead of singing at the Whitehall Cemetery Remembrance service. We also celebrated our Year 5/6 girls’ football team, who won the DPSSA Football League and qualified to represent our borough and play in Blackpool!

A huge well done goes to all our individual out of school award winners across sports, performing arts, and community clubs. In swimming, congratulations to William, Brody, Amelia, Alissa, Matthew, Poppy, Elsie, Minnie S, Hollie, Renee and Oliver. A huge well done to Callie and Thomas for their water safety awards. In gymnastics, dance, and drama, brilliant effort from Fiia, Ella, Thea, Lyla, Vienna, and Eleanor. For fantastic teamwork and skill in football and netball, well done to Emilie, Alfie, Mikey, Cassius, Max, Finn, Samuel, Jack, Olivia, and Vienna. In our community groups, congratulations to Jonas for Squirrel of the Week, Hendrix for Beaver of the Week, Lana for her Brownies animal badge, and Elsie, Evie, Olivia, and Lyla for their wonderful achievements at Rainbows. Extra congratulations also go to Hendrix and Lyla for finishing the Summer Reading Challenge, Callie for her martial arts award, Harry for settling so well into Progressive After School Club and Harry for earning his pen licence.

Mrs Ham reminded us that the Scholastic book fair is in school from Monday-Thursday after school and it is Children in Need next Friday. Thank you to the parents who joined us today, and to our whole school family for your continued support. We wish you all a lovely and restful weekend!
