We had some fantastic entries, but we could only choose one winner and one runner up from each key stage.
EYFS and KS1 Harvest Worship
Today, our infants led our Harvest worship. They were all superstars and they explained the importance of Harvest. Thank you to all who came to watch.

Wellbeing Warriors
We would like to introduce you to our new ‘Wellbeing Warriors’ from Year 4. The Wellbeing Warriors will help to support PSHE ( Personal Social Health Education ) in school by promoting events such as Hello Yellow Day for mental health and Anti-Bullying Week with Odd Socks day which is coming up very soon. They will also meet weekly to discuss how we can improve our PSHE lessons, take part in pupil interviews and monitor scrapbooks. They can’t wait to start their new roles and we look forward to having them.
Thankful for Harvest!
We started our harvest celebrations today learning about where our breakfast comes from and reflecting on what we are thankful for. We thought about how we could show our Christian values of generosity, service and friendship this Harvest by sharing what we have with others. The children have chosen to donate packets and tinned food for our local food bank and toiletries for refugees who have recently joined our community.
Hello Yellow Day for World Mental Health Day
What a wonderful #HelloYellow Worship we have had this morning. Year 4 really got the message across and raised awareness of mental health. We are so proud at St Barnabas to say we are working hard to make a difference to young people’s mental health @YoungMindsUK
Monday Mental Health Worship
Today in worship we talked about looking after our mental health. We looked at small feelings that change all the time and big feelings that stay with us and who we can go to for support when dealing with big feelings. We reflected on how we can show our Christian Value of friendship to our friends and be there to listen to them if they are dealing with big feelings. We also discussed how we can show courage and talk to someone we trust if we have big feelings.
Wonderful Worship
During Worship this morning, we have been celebrating the successes from around school. We have heard all the wonderful things our children have been up to in and out of school. We are immensely proud of each and every child in our brilliant school family. We look forward to keeping you up to date on our new school website.
WOW Worship- European Day of Languages
Our Worship Our Way (WOW) group planned and led our Worship today about European Day of Languages. We celebrated diversity & the gift of language that God has given to us. We also learnt lots of ways to say hello & greet each other in different languages.
Goodbye Rev David and Lorraine
On behalf of our whole school family, I’d like to say a huge thank you, best wishes and goodbye to Rev David and Lorraine, who are retiring this week. They have given so much amazing support to our school over the years and have brightened up the darkest of days during the pandemic with their online services and attending our zoom worships. We wish them all the best in the future and hope they can spend quality time with their family. Please click to access their memories and worship videos.
Celebration Worship
A huge well done to everyone who received an award in our Celebration Worship today. It was wonderful to see and hear from your class teachers the different ways you have been living life in all its fullness this week. Mr Beaumont also reflected on our Worships about recycling over the week and how we need to care for our beautiful planet that God so lovingly created.
It's Recycle Week!
This morning in Worship we listened to a rhyming Bible story about how God created our world and wants us to care for it. We then learnt all about recycling with Mrs Ham and her team of human recycling bins. We had to sort all of her rubbish into the different recycling bins. We reflected on the rubbish that we throw away and how we can care for our World by reducing, reusing and recycling. We finished by praying and singing 'This is God's world, let's try to make it a better place'.
