Foodie Friends Club- Pitta Pizzas
Our after-school club was a success today! The children had a blast chopping peppers and tomatoes to prepare the sauce for their pitta pizzas. It was an adventure for some as they tasted olives for the first time, and reviews were mixed. I was extremely proud of them for embracing something new. Not only are they fantastic chefs, but they also excel at keeping things neat. The excitement does make them a bit giddy, but it adds to the fun they have.
Foodie Friends Club- KS1
Today, the children had a blast creating their delicious chocolate chip cookies. We started the baking adventure by measuring the flour and sugar separately. Some children took turns cracking the eggs and skillfully blending the ingredients until the mixture became light and fluffy. After we mixed the dough, we made little balls and baked them in the oven for 10 minutes. They were very giggly when they saw that some of the cookies had stuck together.
KS1 Multi-Skills Festival
This morning a group of super stars from KS1 took part in a multi-skills festival at QEGS in Blackburn. We were so impressed with how well the children represented our school as they behaved brilliantly and really got stuck into every activity. Our head boy Wilson and head girl Lucy accompanied them and encouraged and supported them throughout the morning. A huge thanks to Miss Baxendale for coaching the children.

Every child worked really hard to develop their skills and applied various tactics when working with different age groups.
Y5/6 Sportshall Athletics Club
We had a fantastic turn out for our first Year 5/6 Sportshall Athletics Club this week. We covered speed bounce, sprint relay and throwing events with some amazing results. The children pushed themselves out of their comfort zones and we had a lot of very red faces by the end with fun had by all!
Foodie Friends Club
Today, after school, the Year 1 and Year 2 children in our 'Foodie Friends Club' had a great time. They made yummy cornflake cakes. The best part was when they broke the chocolate bar into pieces and saw it melt in the microwave. They had so much fun licking the extra chocolate from the spoon and bowl. They've decided that next week, they want to make chocolate chip cookies.
Week 5 - Sports Club
For our final week at Sports Club, we combined all of our skills learnt over past half-term. We hopped, balanced, threw, jumped, side stepped and curled. A fun last week for our sports stars!
Foodie Friends Club- Year 3 and 4
The children had a blast making mouth-watering shaped biscuits. They prepared the dough using ingredients like butter, eggs, and flour, rolled it out, and used biscuit cutters to create different shapes before baking them in the oven.

Netball Club
Tonight was our final netball club session for this term as the nights draw in! It’s been an absolute pleasure to watch this group develop their netball skills so quickly. We can’t wait to see how the netball season progresses in the spring. In the meantime - keep those drills going and shoot the ball.
Week 4- Sports club
This week we worked in teams to create our own obstacle courses for our team and the rest of the club to try. Each group got the same set of equipment and had 5 minutes to create a fun and interesting obstacle course for the rest of the teams to try. We had so much fun!
