Rhyme Time in Reception

Reception parents, carers and grandparents and younger siblings are very welcome to join our Reception class teachers and children in the hall each Wednesday morning for our rhyme and story sessions. Refreshments will be served from 8.45-9am and pre-school children and their parents or grandparents, who are interested in joining our school family, are very welcome to attend too.

Let's go sing concert!

Our choir will be taking part in a brilliant concert at Blackburn Ice Area on Wednesday 18th March. They have been busy rehearsing for months and we can't wait to see them perform!

Year 1 and 2 Christmas Cracker Concert

Our Years 1 and 2 children present to you 'A Christmas Cracker' concert. £2.00 per ticket There will be 2 performances - One on Thursday 11th December at 2.00pm and one at 9.05am on Friday 12th December. Tickets will be available on parent pay shortly and will be a maximum of 4 tickets per child across both performances.

Reception parents, carers and grandparents and younger siblings are very welcome to join our Reception staff and children in the hall each Wednesday morning for our rhyme and story sessions. Refreshments will be served afterwards and pre-school children and their parents or grandparents are very welcome to attend too. It will begin on 17th April and our last session of the half term will be on Wednesday 15th May.

Christmas Carol Service at St Barnabas Church- All welcome

All parents, carers and children are welcome to come along. Children, please meet at 3.55pm in your best Christmas clothes! Parents are very welcome to stay or collect at 5.15pm.

Reception rhyme time starts again

Reception’s rhyme time and story time will begin again on Wednesday 17th January 2024. Rhyme time is not on for the rest of 2023 due to our Christmas nativity rehearsals and performance and our Christmas fair. Preschool children are more than welcome to join us and refreshments will be served afterwards.

Reception class Mother’s Day Celebration

We would love for our Reception Mummies or special ladies to join us in Reception class for our Mother’s Day stay and play. Any Mum or special lady can attend but we are asking for just 1 per family due to space in the classroom. We hope you can join us.

Barney's Got Talent

Our Heads and Deputies would like to invite you all to a special Barney's Got Talent show that they will be hosting on Friday 11th July at 9.05am. We will be collecting donations that will be going to East Lancs Hospice to support the wonderful work they do. We can't wait to see the amazing talents of our school family!

Our Year 6 class and members of our Performing Arts Club will be performing The Jungle Book on Tuesday 16th July at 6.00pm.

Aladdin on Ice

Our whole school family will be going to watch Aladdin on Ice at Planet Ice, Blackburn's Ice Arena on Wednesday 11th December 2024 at 1pm as a Christmas treat. Planet Ice presents a fun-filled version of "Aladdin On Ice," adapted by the Show & Skate class of amateur skaters and supported by their Professional on Tour cast. This ultimate classic will take the children on a magical journey with Aladdin, Jasmine, and other beloved characters through a story of adventure, magic and discovering true worth. This show features amateur local skaters who have learnt their craft through Planet Ice's Learn To Skate programme, giving the skaters a real moment to remember under the spotlight.

Our Rocksteady Rock Bands will be performing in their final concert of this school year in front of the whole school family and parents on Wednesday 8th July at 9.05am. Our school choir members will be taking part in a fun Let's Go Sing! workshop in preparation for their Let's Go Sing concert at Blackburn Cathedral in March.

Snow White Pantomime

Mirror Mirror On The Wall…What’s The Fairest Pantomime of Them all? It’s SNOW WHITE, of course, and we have arranged for the whole of our school to watch together as a school family! We will be heading to The Blackburn Empire on 2nd December for the 1pm showing. Tickets are £12.70 per child which includes the ticket, coach and an ice lolly at the interval. We will be back slightly later than school finishing time at 4pm but I will regularly update you on the day of our estimated time back. We can't wait to take all of the children to make some magical Christmas memories together.
