Messy Church

Dear families,

We are delighted to inform you that we are relaunching our Messy Church for the new school year. We have a new team which includes our Worship Our Way team, Mrs Ham, Rogers, Hegarty, Rev David, Lorraine and several parishioners including Glenda and Deborah. If you would like to help out please see Mrs Ham.

What is Messy Church ?

  • Messy Church is a form of church for children and adults that involves creativity, celebration and hospitality.
  • It promotes good ways of growing as a family: an extended family, and a global and local church family.
  • It includes a welcome, a creative time to explore the Biblical theme through getting messy; a short celebration time involving story, prayer, song, games and similar; and refreshments. Messy Church is about families and so all children must be accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for them and enjoy sharing the experience with them. THE DATES FOR MESSY CHURCH 2016 AT ST BARNABAS PRIMARY SCHOOL, A CHURCH OF ENGLAND ACADEMY  ARE:
  • Messy Harvest  Thursday 6th October 2016 3.30-5.00pm
  • Messy Christmas  Thursday 1st December 2016 3.30-5.00pm

We look forward to seeing you there,
The St Barnabas School and Church

Our WOW group, Rev David and Lorraine led our Easter Messy Church. Everyone had a great time learning about the events of Holy Week through a variety of fun, creative activities. Our WOW group reenacted Holy Week, said prayers and sang Easter songs too.
